First day, ya?

Just as I was drawing a huge interest, a theatre major from my school decides to attempt to steal the show, I couldn't quiet him, he stole my shit and ran off, I went to get it and lost what could have potentially been a high$$ show.
My heart was lost, I made 15$ in one hour and called it quits.
I bought ice cream and organic milk and blueberries.

Lessons learned:
Brush up on baton skills if I'm going to take it out with me (yes, I dropped it)
Know what to do when dumbass theatre majors show up
feather boas shed.
don't be afraid to ask for money

The way I got the most money??
Drunk tourists
annnnd
doing a physical character of an old, stooped man, coughing and coughing, holding out the hat, and eventually dying, not getting up until they tipped me.
Heh.... kinda mean

I'll have more planned next time.

Harry Anderson (night court magician) told me Kid ya got talent... but you need an act, after 5 years working the streets and watching other street perfromers. I figured an easy way to build a show. 3 warm up tricks 1 grand finale. depending on the finale ill pass the hat before or after the finale. my hat line usualy is the funnyest part of the show. ive seen duets sing i will survive for their hat line mixing up the words a bit. good luck.

I'm Sorry to say that performing on the street is all about that :(

Anywhere you go you will have to go there with the biggest, loudest, most stunning, attention keeping show..or the next performer will start up on you and take your crowd.

On the other hand that was a VERY good experience for you, because it forces you to look at what you were doing and how you can do it better.
It sucks that it was a fellow theatre major and not someone you don't know.

When I performed in Colorado and Key West we made sure we had at the least 2 good hand drummers ( music helps A LOT)!
With them playing the drums, it made it impossible for others to start up on us.. people tried to start up during our talking parts of the show, however as soon as the music started they were 100% shut down.
The performers around us quickly learned.. they must wait their turn, and when they did they ended up with the crowd that just watched our show going over to theirs.
          Working out for everyone.

          I wish you luck!

          Amy
