Has any body here busked at Penn station in NYC? You have to go though a try out but the tips are great I here.

Thu, March 13, 2008 - 6:18 PMI've generally stuck strictly to the Subway systems, the few places I've tried to find out HOW to get a Permit (notably South Street Seaport) I've just had no luck fishing through the bureaucracy to reach the point of a tryout :( If you figure out where the correct office to apply to is, post it up!

Thu, April 24, 2008 - 5:37 AMI asked about this, and they said I had to apply through Music Under New York. I think MUNY schedules you at certain times, which I figured wouldn't necessarily be convenient for me given my travel schedule, so I didn't bother. It is a beautiful space though, more pleasant looking than the subway. I can picture a string quartet there, in tuxedos.
