I was told that I had to stop playing by SFPD yesterday evening(about 5:30pm). They said that the higher-ups wanted the musicians out of the shopping area on Market, but that if I went further north up Powell Street all would be well. I packed it in for the evening, but am going to check out the north of Market later today.

Has anyone else experienced this over the last few days?

Who would I go to to question the legality of this(because it seems wrong) or otherwise complain about it?
